Constipation

Constipation is a situation in which the bowl movement from the body is not periodic. It is due to some disturbance in the digestive track or due to accumulation of excessive heat inside the body. As a result of this harmful body waste is not extracted properly and this waste severely harms the body in more ways than one. This body disorder is not a disease unless it is not affecting you on daily basis. Constipation is suffered by almost every individual in his lifetime but it is more frequent during adulthood.


Symptoms of Constipation:
1. Infrequent bowl movement from the body
2. Excessive pain during bowl elimination
3. The bowl is hard, dry, small in size, and difficult to expel followed by decrease in the volume of bowl
4. Headache, stomache, loss of appetite
5. Lethargic feelings in body, high blood pressure, are main causes of constipation.


Causes of Constipation:
1. Constipation is primarily caused due to the consumption of poor diet. If your diet is not rich in fiber then you are going to be constipated, because the fiber is responsible for cleaning of the body and to promote the bowel movement for its easy removal.
2. Incomplete chewing of food leave the food particles big enough, as a result of which the body is not able to digest them effectively and completely.
3. Lower liquid intake or deficiency of liquid inside the body (due to some medicines or excessive sweat or frequent urination) is also responsible for constipation.
4. Very less or no body exercise can leave our body to suffer many diseases. Remember our body is like a machine which needs regular exercise besides taking food to remain good in health, otherwise it is going to be jammed one day.
5. Emotional and physiological disturbances or stress can prove to be an obstacle in the working of body mechanism.
6. Weakness in body can result in the weakness of bones and muscles and hence cater to their inability to promote the removal of stool effectively.


Precautions for Constipation:
1. Be very cautious about your diet. Make sure that the diet you are taking should not include sticky food like rice and the food that is difficult to digest like red meat.
2. Include as much fruits, vegetables, cereals, roughage, in the diet as you can. Eat only freshly cooked food and chew it properly. If you are having problems in digestion, then take any digestion pills.
3. In the morning when you woke up take 1-2 glasses of warm water and do note that the consumption of water should not be less than 10-12 glasses per day.
4. Lesser the intake of coffee, tea, caffeine, tobacco also helps sometimes.


Home Remedies for Constipation:


1. If you are suffering from constipation then before going to sleep at night take 12 black raisins (thoroughly cleansed with water and after removal of seeds) and boil it in milk. Drink this milk with the raisins in it.Your constipation will surely be cured. If you are still having problems then take this for 2-3 days and and after that according to your needs.


2. Take Castor oil 1-2 tablespoons and mix it with 1 cup lukewarm water or milk and take it before going to bed at night. People suffering from severe constipation may have to consume upto 6 tablespoons of Castor oil. As Castor oil is very good for your stomach and intestines you may give it to any patient without any hesitation.


3. If you are having severe constipation take drink the juice of 2 oranges in the morning on an empty stomach for 8-10 days. This will surely cure any type of constipation.
Important note: Don't mix salt, spices,ice or anything else in the juice. After drinking it don't take anything for 1-2 hours.


4. Rub yellow Myrobalan with water and take it in the morning. Mix it with some salt for taste.
5. Adding apples, grapes and papaya to your diet daily also helps in constipation.
6. Take 200 gm lukewarm water, add 5 gm lemon's juice, 5 gm Ginger juice and 10 gm honey and take it to get fast relief from constipation.
7. A person suffering from Constipation must have an intake of atleast 250-300 gm water to get fast relief from it.
8. Take 5 gm lemon's juice, 200 gm water and add 10 gm crystalline sugar and dissolve it in them. Drink this to get rid of constipations.
