Diabetes

Diabetes is a situation in which there is excessive sugar (glucose) in the bloodstream. This excess glucose excretes from patients body in the form of urine. The glucose level in the body is controlled by beta cells of pancreas by emitting insulin. In diabetes there is improper balance of glucose and insulin due to malfunctioning of beta cells which severely attacks autoimmune system. Diabetes is common among old age people but today even the young are also the victims of this dreadful disease.


It is of two types:
Type 1:  It is less common among the people. It is due to the inability of pancreas to generate the required insulin so as to maintain glucose balance.
Type 2: It is the more common form of diabetes. Most of the middle age people suffer from this. In this case the insulin secreted by pancreas is not affectively utilized by the body. This type is not so dangerous and could be controlled by keeping a serious check on health, performing regular exercise and taking balanced diet.






Causes of Diabetes:
1. Addiction to sweets.
2. Increased weight and obesity
3. Genetic Factors
4. Excessive Stress and tension
5. Malfunctioning of pancreas
6. Consuming too much alcoholic drinks
7. High blood pressure


Symptoms of Diabetes:
1. Unquenchable thirst
2. Excessive hunger
3. Frequent urination
4. Unexpected weight loss
5. Weakness and fatigue
6. Slow healing of the body cuts and wounds.


Precaution for Diabetic Patients:
1. Do regular exercise and involve your body in physical activities. Be active all the time.
2. Do keep a check on carbohydrate intake. Do not keep yourself hungry for longer hours.
3. Do keep a regular check on your body weight and also the sugar content in your blood by dipsticks so that any sudden increase in sugar levels may be intimated accordingly.
4. Avoid taking alcoholic drinks as far as possible.      


Home Made Remedies for Diabetes:
1. Take some seeds of fenugreek (methi) in a cup filled with water. Early in the morning grind those seeds in that water only and drink. This avoids the mixture of sugar with the blood in the body hence reducing your bodies sugar level.


2. Take the juice of Amla (Indian gooseberry) 10 gm, turmeric 1gm and honey 3 gm. Mix it well and take it to reduce your sugar levels.


3. Take the juice of bitter melon also called as bitter gourd 5 gm and drink it. This will help you in diabetes.


4.  Eating Jambul (black plum) everyday also helps in cure of diabetic patients. Not only this it also improves the patients digesting power.


5.  Take the seeds of Jambul (black plum) and dry them in the shadow, then grind them well to make a mixture. Everyday twice a day once in the morning and evening take 3-3 gm of the mixture with water adn your diabetes will be in control very soon.


6.  Take the grinded mixture of Jambul (black plum) seeds and bitter gourd in the same amount. Take 3 gm of this mixture with water twice daily to control your diabetes.


7. Take 50 gm bitter gourd and boil it in 100 gm water. Drink it for great results in case of diabetes.


8. Half and hour or so before your meals take 5 gm fenugreek (grinded) with water and have it for great results in your diabetic levels.


9. Take the fresh juice of Indian gooseberry (amla) and mix with honey and take it regularly in the morning to contorl diabetes.


10. Everyday take the soft purple leaves of neem (Azadirachta indica) and chew it while sucking its juicxe. This will help a lot in diabetes.


Note: Diabetes cannot be cured. So controlling it is the best solution.
